Ok I really want to love this product. Tons of good reviews and I did a little research on how to use it before I started experimenting for testing. Boom. It's instant. Where there was no cloth between, it charred and left a sticky residue. I've never held the iron over one spot for more than 5 seconds and hit the corner with the tip. It may just be a downside of the wool rug, but I'm a bit skeptical about the rug's content. I can try washing it to see if there is any residue or substance covering the fibers but I'm not very hopeful 😅
