Review on πŸšͺ Stylish and Functional: Kwikset Satin Nickel 91550-003 Milan Door Handle Lever for Home Privacy in Modern Contemporary Slim Round Design by Chris Webb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't spend more on other manufacturers. These are solid!

I bought a non-locking "trial lever" in HD (to see if I like it or not) in HD because all non-locking levers are actually cheaper there, while closed levers are cheaper at Revain. Find out. I'm not sure which nerd came up with the "bulk" shopping prices here on Revain, but they need to go back to 4th grade math class. I ended up liking them and bought several "individual" locks as this is the cheapest way. Let's get back to the rating. I bought the same Kwikset Milan external lock and wasn't happy because it had too much play in its grip. I kept it but wasn't overly impressed. The inside handles are different, I'm happy to share that. I bought an entire house with more expensive Emtek Stuttgart levers for an old house a few years ago. I liked their solid feel and style. I'm running out of money and wanted a cheaper option but with the same style. That's pretty amazing; and if you hadn't told me I wouldn't have recognized the difference between the two manufacturers. They cost HALF the Emtek and still look very modern and solid. There are two visible screws on the back, but Emtek has them too. To open the door you have to turn 50-60 degrees and not every 90 degrees which I was afraid of. I'm glad the mainstream manufacturers are trending with style. This is a great find at a reasonable price. A recommendation would be to get a round socket or backplate or whatever you want to call it. Because angles inevitably loosen up during use and then don't look right-angled and crooked. The round one turns easily and never looks crooked, meaning no future adjustments or scratches on the color of the door.
