Non-upgradable: diagnostic, test and measurement tools

Connected to a 2001 Subaru Outback. I bought this to see if the SRS was working properly. He found misfires that were correct. He could provide all the information about SRS. I tried to update the software, thinking that for some reason the software needed to be updated for 2001, but the website just kept me going in circles with registering and logging in. I found out where and gave up. I'm not content with downloading software from a Chinese site to install to upgrade the flash drive, but I did. I'm going to wipe my computer now to remove any possible virus programs that I don't know are running. Send the device back.
