When making mashed potatoes, I probably used a couple of mashed potatoes that eventually broke, some plastic, some metal. This is the first one that makes me believe it will go the distance! VERY durable, easy to use and easy to clean. I even like the thin handle, but in a way it would be nice if it was a bit thicker. I like the idea of a good brand with an economy line, kind of a solid entry into the brand, not a cheap one off disappointment! It should be remembered that it is made of durable stainless steel. So be careful when using it as it may scratch the surface of your container.
