It takes a bit of practice to use a big finishing brush (main thing after dipping is scraping all the paint off the sides so the paint is just in the brush ). But a larger brush gives a smoother surface and covers a larger area, so it's worth learning how to use. This brush has fairly soft bristles and you can cut a nice line with it. Shorter brushes make it harder to get straight lines...longer bristles absorb some of the tremor in the brushstroke. I haven't even tried putting it on a pole and bending it for hard-to-reach places...it's still intimidating. me, so I use a ladder.
