I never thought of using just one cup for 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 and 1 cup. You can use half of the container for 1/4 cup, there is a label for 1/3 cup, the jar itself is 1/2 and you use 2 for a cup. I keep this next to my canisters for portion control and easy measurement. Also good quality.
