Well packaged upon receipt. With a layer of peeling plastic on both sides of the plexiglass, it was possible to stain the wood and then apply several coats of shiny tung oil. It came out museum quality in my opinion. I didn't like that there was a gap on the right side after the front was closed, so I went to a craft store and bought a 3/16" x 1/2" x 12" piece of basswood. I have cut the corners at the ends to 45 degrees, glued and fits perfectly.Dust does not penetrate.Very satisfied.
