Vinyl Record Frame Album Display Review

We wanted to add a musical theme to our teenage sons' room without being overly thematic. These vinyl album frames are awesome! Our son can display some of his favorite vinyl records as wall art and the front doors of the frame easily open to remove the vinyl for playback. These are lightweight frames, I hung them on the control strips so there were no holes, and even double-disc albums fit in the disc slot.

Well packaged upon receipt. With a layer of peeling plastic on both sides of the plexiglass, it was possible to stain the wood and then apply several coats of shiny tung oil. It came out museum quality in my opinion. I didn't like that there was a gap on the right side after the front was closed, so I went to a craft store and bought a 3/16" x 1/2" x 12" piece of basswood. I have cut the corners at the ends to 45 degrees, glued and fits perfectly.Dust does not penetrate.Very satisfied.

Depending on what you are looking for, this could be a great product. The material is very good, it looks good and shows the albums well. The locking mechanism feels nice and solid too, but that explains why I personally wouldn't use this product. The side where you insert the album is completely open to the point where I could slide the album in and out without even opening the frame. The frame looks good and feels pretty solid. The back is just a bezel and doesn't have a back, which is odd, but you can't see it, so it's not really a negative. The reason for the three stars is that they explain that you can easily slide the vinyl in and out through the side, but haven't really made it clear that it's because only one side is open. Good solid construction but I was expecting the 'natural finish' to have light stains but it was just regular untreated wood. All of the corners and edges were sharp, but I corrected that with a little sanding. My biggest problem is that the LP slot isn't wide enough to fit gatefold albums, crap! This product is beautiful. Goes very well with the record I bought. I bought this slab because I like the open side and not the top like other sellers. My problem is that the slot is a bit specific. I bought a special record. Not sure if this makes the spine look bigger with extra folds. First off it does the job but there are a few things worth mentioning. Including one big flaw. Pros: Feels like it's made out of decent quality materials. It has some pretty strong magnets that hold it closed and make a nice "CLICK" when closed. The problem is that it doesn't come pre-installed. Also, the holes are not pre-made for devices. Other reviews indicate that the design has changed over time. I ordered two black frames in October 2021. I am very happy with them. Both arrived in a Revain box. Inside were two separate thin boxes. The frames themselves had protective corners made of thick cardboard. A previous review mentioned removing the protective plastic film from both sides of the Plexiglas.
