Review on Vinyl Record Frame Album Display by Denise Woodcock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reviewed October 2021

Other reviews indicate that the design has changed over time. I ordered two black frames in October 2021. I am very happy with them. Both arrived in a Revain box. Inside were two separate thin boxes. The frames themselves had protective corners made of thick cardboard. A previous review mentioned removing the protective plastic film from both sides of the Plexiglas. I had no film and the plastic was glued into the frame. The channel holding the album is quite thick. It fits easily into a vinyl-lined gatefold case. For an album, it may not fit the plexiglass exactly. I added some cardboard spacers as that sort of thing bothers me. It is equipped with a hanger for a nail. For me, this is quite acceptable for a light object, especially without glass. The kit included separate hardware that could be added to the frame if you wanted to hang it with two nails. It seems to me that this is difficult to align and you usually only see this approach on mirrors or very large heavy frames with glass. So unless you live on a boat or live during an earthquake and place them above your bed or crib, one nail should do the trick. I emphasize that I recommend them. Replacing an album is much easier than traditional landscape frames, so I change them often.

Pros

Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
