Review on Alise FD9000-LS Chain Door Guard Latch Lock With Spring Anti-Theft Press Lock,Stainless Steel Brushed Nickel by Drew Poulin

Never thought about the "spring anti-theft lock" but once I'd installed it, the button was very finicky when using it to release the chain. If you don't press it down just right, the little plate doesn't depress straight enough to release the chain. I was envisioning trying to get out of the door quickly in case of a fire and didn't feel comfortable that it would work reliably. So I broke off the plate part of the button. The button's still there, but there's nothing to release the chain. It now works like the "old fashioned" and more reliable style!
