Great if you love burnt coffee

I've owned many coffee machines in my life and tried them all back and forth - from big brands like Imusa to other non-brands and I've never did you have such problems as with this coffee machine. I've been using mocha pots for 20 years so I know how to use them, but I haven't been able to make edible coffee with this pot. The first time I brewed coffee in it, it took me about 15 minutes to start brewing and I never pack the coffee in a basket and pour it very easily. Once it started brewing, it spurted coffee everywhere, going so far as to burn my shirt multiple times, which I've never had with other moka pots. I thought I did that, so I tried 2 more times, changing coffee grind size, grind amount, water amount, stove temp, and none of that worked. I thought I just got a defective one so I contacted Amazon for a replacement. Unfortunately I had exactly the same problems when replacing it. In fact the new one I received looked like it had been used before as it had stains and scratches on the paintwork. I also looked closely at the filter and there were many loose pieces of metal on the filter that looked like they would need to be removed if holes were made in the filter. I could tear off several pieces of metal with my fingers, which is very dangerous because they could be swallowed. As far as coffee machine brewing goes, it makes coffee with an incredibly burnt taste. When using other moka pots, I can leave the lid open because the coffee flows smoothly until the end of the brewing cycle, unlike this one which splatters all over the entire brewing time. This pot takes forever to brew and by the time it starts brewing the coffee grounds have already burnt off and it produces incredibly bitter coffee, even at low temperatures (and I use good quality freshly ground coffee). Also, I've never been able to brew a full cup of coffee because it leaks at the joint and the smell of burnt coffee fills the house, so I have to take it off the stove. I estimate that at the brew rate it would take about 5 full minutes to brew the entire 6 cup kettle from the moment it brews. Save yourself the hassle and buy a better moka pot than this one. .
