Review on 🐾 Optimized Pet Life Jacket by Paws Aboard by Stephanie Pratt

Suitable for fit (size = large) and design. My 75lb German Shepherd loves it and even seems to prefer swimming in it. The ability to adjust to a snug fit with neoprene seems to give it extra warmth even in cold water. It seems to offer enough buoyancy in calm water, but in water with around 30cm waves it seems like it offers some drag when it gets tired. I have a second, different brand and I double it when I kayak it and maybe we hit bigger water further offshore. Doubling seems to work. I prefer this fit and design but the buoyancy is about the same as the second so I think the standard is that the buoyancy provided is at the rim. If the dog is not tired, its back will be out of the water, and swimming on its back will not bring any benefit. If she really gets so tired that she stops swimming, her back may sag a little, and the extra buoyancy of her back will prevent her from continuing. If this brand was available with the dual buoyancy option built into the sides I would easily give it 5 stars. It's funny how many people ask if she really is a rescue dog. :)
