A small chip on the blade indicates poor quality control.
They appear to be of normal quality but one has a broken blade. I needed them when I ordered them, now I have 6 days on a project my planer needs to go through tonight. If I can get a replacement set and it's not broken or otherwise unusable, I'll increase my rating by one star. This is NOT damage in transit. A bad blade should never have passed quality control.
