I have spent a lot of time with these Bavel needles. I should have taken a closer look at them before tying them to my bike but I was in a hurry to finish them so I could go and ride! I was glad they looked like real stainless steel and not the #45 steel that some of the spokes are made of. They looked good so I hung them. Everything was going smoothly until I started increasing the spoke tension on the right stand. After a few wheel revolutions, the same mismatched sections of the rim remained. With very little tension, all of the spokes were trimmed with the included nipples. It was only then that I looked closely at the carving and realized how poorly finished it was. I'm just glad they were so bad I couldn't even spin the wheel and didn't figure it out after stressing them while riding. What a waste of time! I thought I could save a few bucks because how can a company be so incompetent they can't speak properly!? babel What a brand joke. Absolute rubbish. I bought two packs and both suck. I've even spent more time comparing pictures of the broken spokes I'm trying to replace (from a 2004 Trek) to show what a decent threading should look like lest some other wheel manufacturers waste their time or Worse catastrophic failures actually suffer with the shit drive. stay with DT Swiss, WheelSmith, Sapim etc. at least. Don't skimp on needles! This will not be true, even if you can achieve this from the start. I paid $33.94 ($0.47 each) for two sets (72 total). Now I go with DT. Swiss and I buy 100 spokes for $52 ($0.52 each). And I will have plenty of leeway for future breaks or helping friends. Much luck!
