Cheese Balls - Spend a little more get a lot better

I'm a certified curmudgeon and like to look for cheap alternatives but they were pretty bad. All pedals are easy to install, so reviews about "easy to install" are silly. The bearings on them are so bad! The right pedal felt like it had a flat spot in the bearing, the left one really creaked and no amount of lube could fix it. With a little searching, you might find a reasonable alternative for a few bucks more. I found Shimano pedals at REI for $38 and the difference is huge. Buying these pedals is like buying Folger coffee, cheap but terrible. If you're a masochist, buy these pedals and every turn of the crank will give you a little pain. during the trip, which will add up to a pile of self-disgust.
