Works great. For those new to soldering, if you have constant problems with solder sticking to the soldering iron tip even when using flux, or just find soldering problematic, try this. What you do is turn on the iron and let it heat up. The glass contains compacted powder; When you stick the soldering iron in, it melts the powder and makes it bubble and coat the tip of the soldering iron, creating a silvery sheen. Now that you've tried soldering, the iron will be much easier to clean and handle the solder better. It also extends the life of the soldering iron itself.
