Review on Olson PG49802 Precision Ground Scroll by Chadwick Webster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Long sharp.

What I like best about these blades is that they stay sharp for a long time. They are also very sharp. I basically cut 1/4 of the blank down to 1 inch. I've used the smallest blade to cut the 3/4" cedar nameplates with no problems. You need to go slower, but with the smallest blade you don't really need to sand anything. The end grain remains rough, but the long grain shines alone of being ground from the blade to 320. I will never use any blades other than these. I have an old Ryobi scroll saw that works with pinned or plain ends. I've only ever used needle blades so at first I was worried they wouldn't would hold up well. They do. Only with extra help. I sand both ends with 150 grit sandpaper and then rub with rubbing alcohol to secure it in the saw holders a bit. I highly recommend these blades.
