The iPad stand works very well - strong and heavy enough to be used with a full size iPad even with the base extended towards you. The clip is very secure but very strong and takes some getting used to to get the iPad in place. Once in place I found no tendency to slip. It is padded to avoid damaging the edges of the device. Good freedom of movement, folds up fairly compact. This is a gift for someone - I hope she finds it easy to use. I'm considering getting one for myself - it's perfect for keeping an iPad in place over a mess of paint when it comes to photography for paintings.
