The VERA mount is screwed onto the TV and inserted into the U-shaped socket of the mount. Machined to fairly tight tolerances so it takes a long time to remove the TV, but the TV is also held in place with 2 thumbscrews, just like the screws that hold the side panels on most computers = easy to tighten and no buckling remove short screwdriver. Pan/tilt is best done with the TV, NOT on a wall mount (gap issues). I run the coax directly to the TV, but I have a 90 degree connection so there is no stress on the TV. Remember, you wanted a low profile mount! I would use 90 degree HDMI if I ever need to run HDMI. Well made and moves smoothly. All the screws you need are included, although I would use Molly instead of regular drywall anchors. Surprised that something made in China is well done.
