Great thermometer! As fast as specified (3-4 seconds) to get the temperature within a degree or two of the actual temperature. I downgraded it to 4 stars because the magnet isn't as strong as I had hoped - it often slips a few inches across the fridge. if you want it to stay where you put it. If you want it to measure temperature, buy it! Great for the price. If you *have* to keep it in the fridge or something, remember that it will stay there, but not exactly where you put it.
