Got these and started installing. Pretty easy to get up. I use it with an old iPhone 6 Plus as a media control system - I use it to control/stream Plex and Spotify. Tried without the tiny case I had it in and the phone wasn't firmly secured in the holder. I put the cover back on and it fits perfectly. The cover is cheap from Wally-World. Tried another iPhone (7 Plus) with a slightly larger case (literally 1/4 inch thicker) and it doesn't fit. Either you have to use it without a case (not a good idea) or get a very cheap thin one (not the best either if it's for your everyday phone.) Is my biggest pen $14.99? Serious? You could build yourself much smaller. a way of accommodating phones in both tall and thin cases, and it should cost around half the price. I can only give it 3 stars.
