is good at everything except its multithreading. which turns out to be great, especially for this price. If you have a GTX 1070 or Vega 56 graphics card, this processor even offers comparable performance to the best gaming processor, since there are very few games currently that maximize all possibilities. The r5 1600 threading technology will eventually catch up and use more threads in more games so this processor will only get better over time. 2 looks very promising) I managed to overclock to 3.7 GHz very easily, I literally just had to go into the bios and change the frequency from 3.2 to 3.7. no voltage changes or anything and it works like a dream, not to mention the included cooler is quiet and does its job very well and even comes with thermal paste so no need for 212 Evo/Artic Paste Fox or anything. If you're a regular user and need a processor that can handle whatever you throw at it, then get this processor! (If you're streaming/running heavy workloads, i7 8700 or r7 1700 would be a better choice, but r5 can still do that competently too.) In short, the last big hit for the CPU that blew everyone away was the Intel i5 2500k (I think) in 2010, the R5 1600 is the next big thing people will be talking about for years to come.
