This springform pan is highly recommended by professional bakers for cheesecakes. If you google "best springform pan” for cheesecakes or in general, you’ll see it suggested a few times. What makes it unique to other pans is the same reason why you will hate it. You see, the plate, aka the bottom, of the pan sits high compared to other springform pans, which makes it easier to remove your cakes. The problem with that is, that the high bottom causes the pan to leak through this big opening at the bottom of the pan where the spring/lock is. If you’re putting cake batter in this thing, good luck to your oven. I only make cheesecakes in it and any butter or spray I use to coat the pan ends up swimming around in the aluminum foil. Water getting into my cheesecake isn’t what I fear, it’s leakage from the pan itself. It is the strangest thing. It’s like the pan causes the butter in the crust to separate and it all comes spilling out. It is the strangest thing, I swear. For that reason, I cannot recommend this brand or pan. I say go with Nordic Ware and call it a day.The pan is nice to look at it. I mean, it looks professional and has this beautiful matte finish. It almost feels like you’re rubbing velvet when you touch it. So it gets an A+ for aesthetics. An f for functionally though.Btw, I reached out to the seller for help almost two weeks ago and the seller never replied.
