Review on Seizmik Cargo Polaris General 05007 by Jeremy Hong

Seizmik rack on my general

The package arrived as predicted. The cardboard packaging had travel marks, but the product was intact and not scratched. The installation was basically easy. However, it took some fiddling to complete. Task 1; The wedge nuts were painted after machining. Paint got into the threads of 2 of the 6 wedge nuts and the screws would not turn. My decision; Use your fingers to thread the bolts through the wedge nuts before installing. Make sure the screws are fully screwed in and out. I didn't have a wire brush that would fit the spline nuts, so I just screwed the bolt in, then backed out, then backed out with my wrench until it finally ran completely smooth. Exercise 2; The passenger side of the basket appears to have been crumpled in transit. Quarter brackets didn't close. There was no gap between the bracket and the basket like on the driver's side of the basket. My decision; Using a large screwdriver and my "Tuned Metric Hammer" I repositioned the bracket so the Quarter Clamps work as advertised. I am very happy with the purchase. I recommend it to other Polaris General owners. It also fits under the Polaris Trailerable cover.
