That's the one!: Weather Radios

I've had this for about a week now and I love it. Tecsun makes the PL-500, 600, 700, and 900 for between $50 and $100. Pl-500 is similar and costs $50. The 900 combines the 600 and 700 into one and adds 2 stereo speakers and Blue Tooth. Reception on FM is excellent, on AM/MW it's on the lower end of the scale, on SW it's limited but it's OK with a wire antenna attached to the telescopic antenna (not a serious SW receiver so don't buy it). Therefore). The weather channels are great. I don't know how MP3 works, I don't care. The stereo sound coming out of the 900 is phenomenal. Better than my Tecsun Pl-880. Voice, rock, pop, classical and talk are all great. The quality is very good and it looks elegant. Be prepared to dive into the menu, but not bad. Reading and a flashlight are an added bonus. It's a keeper if you're looking for an all-purpose radio that will outperform all others. I think it's great for outdoor use on a deck because it has a sound that everyone can hear. I forgot to mention Blue Tooth. Simple and excellent. I would either buy the 500 for the price or this one for twice the price, the 900 outshines the 600 and 700 for not much more.
