I do not agree with those who rejected this ink. First off, it is NOT designed to be used in fountain pens, calligraphic pens, or regular pens. It is designed to be used with sharp pens and you will need to rinse and dry the pen quite often. I've been using these for several years and am very satisfied. If the nib does not behave as desired, clean and dry the nib, then rub gum arabic on it. You can also add a few drops to the paint. It's a bright Christmas red! Like most inks, it will smear if your paper is of poor quality. The other red they offer is much darker. If you're still having trouble, make your own ink using gouache, distilled water, and gum arabic. I hope I could help!
