This ink is ideal for calligraphy with all types of pens. I think it would be too thick for a fountain pen, but that's not its purpose. Great color and great consistency.

I do not agree with those who rejected this ink. First off, it is NOT designed to be used in fountain pens, calligraphic pens, or regular pens. It is designed to be used with sharp pens and you will need to rinse and dry the pen quite often. I've been using these for several years and am very satisfied.
