Don't do it best in cycling

Ordered for my daughter's bike. Your foot brakes wore out the rear wheel in a week. Decided to put real brakes. This thing is a huge pain in the ass to conform to. The caliper worked fine for the front brake but didn't reach the rear rim. It was offset half an inch, I tried everything, even put it on the back of the rear frame but it still didn't work. I'm not sure how this is supposed to work on an adult bike when it can't even reach the rims of a kid's bike. The company had to provide several extensions to make it truly versatile. After two days of total exhaustion trying to get this thing to work, I finally solved all the zip tie and custom plate issues. For a while I kept adjusting the calipers because the rear one was moving with use. I can't tell you what a nightmare this thing was. I paid $70 for my daughter's bike and couldn't justify $50 for a quality brake. If I had to do it again I wouldn't hesitate to buy the expensive one. Also, the package was torn when I received it, just missing a thick washer, no big deal, but it would be nice if they shipped it safe and sound. Brake pads are a big joke. Most of it is gone after a day of moderate driving. The quality of the metal is normal, the bolt hasn't burst yet, I'll consider that good. Tips if you still want to try this nightmare. Measure the front and rear distance from the mounting hole to the rim to ensure the calipers reach the rim. If you're trying to make it easier for your child to operate the rear brake, cut the cable to a length appropriate for your bike. If you have extra clearance and wrap it around, you have to use more force to apply the brakes. . I'd give more advice, but I'm exhausted. It's not a piece of cake to assemble this thing if, like me, you're unlucky. I had to find a metal plate and drill a hole in it so the rear caliper mount would reach the rear rim. Then they kept falling too low through use. A real nightmare. The rear brake kept tipping down when applied, the pads were moving down too far. I used a zipper to prevent this. Also, as shown in the pictures, I made a special plate to countersink the bolt hole a bit to allow the calipers to reach the rim. I've had a few issues getting the rear brakes to work, if they can't distribute evenly front and rear through the hole then you have the same problem as me. Also, these breaks don't like corners. But I managed to solve this problem with zip ties that didn't allow braking force to pull the rear caliper down. Update: After a week the installation seems to be stuck. I doubled the straps so the first one doesn't tear while riding. It seems to be holding up now, braking performance is good, I've ordered new fat Odyssey pads. Both original pads and 80% are gone.
