Review on Protect and Shine: Blue Magic 1008-24PK Liquid Glass Metallic Seal-Up® - 11.4 oz. by Steven Hudson

Worked on a motorcycle.

I used this on a 35 year old Honda VF500F bike that burned a small amount of coolant. It is very difficult and expensive to get new head gaskets (and removing one of the heads from the engine is not a problem). Let's start with a simple one.) The capacity of my engine's cooling system is about 2 liters, so in my case a small advantage. The bottle is rated for up to 6 gallons, so I used about an ounce to treat my engine. I also removed the thermostat. Otherwise I followed the instructions on the bottle. I flushed the cooling system and just filled it with water, removed the radiator cap and brought the engine up to operating temperature. Then I added an ounce of sealant, closed the radiator and ran it at idle for 20 minutes. The white smoke has decreased a lot, but it hasn't completely disappeared. I turned off the engine, let it cool, drained the water from the system and let it sit for 12 hours. I repeated this process a second time, but the second time I didn't notice any white smoke, so some treatment must have worked well. . I drained the system and left it as before and flushed the system the next day. As long as everything works as it should. No leaks! If you're planning to use this on a motorcycle head coolant leak because parts are hard to come by or head replacement isn't easy, it worked in my case and is a cheap and easy workaround. It's no substitute for getting the job done right, but spending hundreds of dollars on a bike worth doing. hundreds of dollars. not a good investment unless it's a collector's item.
