Review on 🌑️ Thermometer with Suction Cup for Floating Marina by Eric Brooks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice but not perfect. Possible quality issues

I feel a little silly writing a review for this, but just in case it helps someone else. . . ordered three of them and they do their job. This is a simple glass mercury thermometer with a green safety label so you can easily see if your temperature is within the safe range. It's big enough to see without being obtrusive. I used to have a large float in the side tank that couldn't be missed. . . withdrawn from the tank. You can use a thermometer with or without a plastic suction cup. The plastic on the suction cup quickly changed from transparent to milky white. Not sure why it happened, whether it was reacting to the heat of the water or something else in the water, but all three did. You have to make sure that the thermometer sits high enough in the suction cup, otherwise it will jump out of the suction cup. I've found that out of the three I bought, two of the suction cups work fine and the other refuses to stay on the side no matter where or what tank I put it in (I have both acrylic and glass tanks) . The thermometer floats in the tank but the problem is that it wobbles so you never know where it is and it's difficult to read the temperature without pulling it out (a common problem with mercury thermometers and how thin the line depends on the location or getting fat). you're looking at it), so I don't see how you would actually use that without a suction cup. I feel like I should buy another one, but I also feel that while it was a cheap buy it should have worked and I don't like the idea of paying them more money for a fancy device.
