Review on Presse Bobble Tumbler Stainless Portable by Brianna Kamp

Waste of money for kitchen & dining room

Totally regretted purchase. This thing doesn't offer any advantages over a regular French press other than insulation, but you can just buy a vacuum insulated French press and it's better than a ball press. I bought this hoping it would be an alternative to the stainless steel aeropress that I love. That's definitely not true. The filter on the press isn't very good either. A fine sediment will still remain at the bottom of the cup, just like a French press. In addition, the rubber seal gives the coffee a burnt rubbery taste for the first few weeks. I haven't tried drinking coffee from the press like a mug, but I don't want to try either. One day I didn't realize I didn't push the plunger all the way down and when I poured coffee into a cup, the coffee spilled out between the plunger and the outer cup. When I then tried to remove the plunger, hot coffee spilled onto my hand between the two lips of the rubber seal, causing a slight sting.

Pros
  • No plastic bin or paper filter
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
