Review on Zefal Spy Bicycle Mirror Black: Enhance Your Cycling Experience with Stylish Convenience by Ian Iknokinok

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for my bullhorn (chase) bars.

I recently switched from drop bars to horn bars. I love it! I've always ridden in front of the bike and never had the right lever and my thumbs were always pressed against the brake lever. Bullhorn (or Pursuit) bars are 500% better for me. I stay tall on my bike; have great leverage; and I don't have to change hand position between hard pedaling or braking. The only thing I'm missing from my old poles is a mirror at the end of the pole. It was impossible to find a mirror that either didn't match the bar end or didn't have an armrest. I've never liked mirrors that move away from the attachment point. They always vibrate when I drive sensibly, namely when I need them. This mirror fits my megaphone handlebar and is the best fit I've found so far. I wish it had a slightly larger mirror surface. I use mirrors because of my city commute and they help me keep track of space when I need to dodge a car door, front bumper coming out of a driveway or underground parking lot. If it was 50% bigger it would be a 5 star rating. I say it; But then I hate when I have to change the mirrors on the steering wheel, I thought I would love it because I bump them with my knees. It's the size that makes them functional and doesn't get in my way. The other change that makes this a 5 star rating would be a permanent mount. I don't like the elastic that keeps them in place. Then it's too easy to steal. I don't want to take them off every time I enter a building. I used duct tape to make them less easy to steal. It is excellent. Count each of these two problems with half a star. I like these mirrors very much. They are in my field of vision in the same place as the old mirrors (only a few centimeters higher). I feel a lot safer.
