I bought my first of these magnets and was impressed with its strength. I placed it on the side of a metal tool box - no screws - and it holds a couple of lighter tools (less than 0.5 pounds each). I tested the magnetic force by putting a 4 pound construction hammer on it. It held the hammer, but screws are needed to hold the magnet in place. I bought a second one for handheld garden tools. This is a great item to organize your tools. The company responds. I received an email a day or two after receiving the magnet to confirm it arrived intact.
