I have a similar product on my 2015 MacBook Pro, but given its size and the very small bezels in the new MBPs I didn't see it as an option. On a whim I decided to poke around and see if there was a solution for my 2017 model and decided to give it a try. I was impressed with the thin dimensions and the metal construction that seemed like a solid solution, so I gave it a try. You are perfect!
