Review on πŸ’§ Pentek 150467 Blue Housing Pressure: Optimal Solution for Filtering Water by Rachel Lopez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The deposits have disappeared and the radon content in the water has decreased!

I recently moved into a newly built house. I had light to moderate rainfall and a water radon reading of 4.9. I installed a Big Blue 10 with a particle filter (DGD-5005) and a Big Blue 20 with a GAC filter (GAC 20BB). The sediment immediately dissolved. Six weeks later I had my water tested for radon and the result was 2.5. My water tastes great and I've saved a lot of money by reducing the radon levels in the water this way instead of having it professionally softened. My total cost was less than $200; A plumber friend of mine did the installation for free. Additional Notes: Be sure to order the case bracket, filter wrench and lag screws to attach the case to the bracket and the bracket to the board. It's also a good idea to order a replacement O-ring. Another good idea is to lubricate the threads of the pan with plumbing grease. You can purchase plumbing grease and mounting screws at a hardware store, Lowes, or any hardware store.
