So far so good - where I live I've had at most one regular thunderstorm so can't confirm how good it will be in nasty winds and floods and the like held. But also leaving my bike outside during a storm (since bikes are not allowed in my hostel) is very very helpful and protects my bike well! fits in and is not too big at all. When I was a student it fit perfectly in my backpack, maybe the size of a novel with the cover in my pocket. I think it would be great for hikers/outdoor people, great to keep in car or pocket etc.
