Review on πŸ”ͺ Imachinist S64514 Bi Metal Blades Cutting: Superior Performance for Precision Cuts by James Crofton

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Just say Power & Hand Tools number

This gets one star because zero stars is not available. It broke in less than an hour after breaking several billets with severely slanted notches. This blade will never move straight and cut straight. This is the first time I've had this problem with my HF 4x6 in almost two years of owning it. And he made a very loud noise in the bandsaw wheels. When I took it off and straightened it out, I saw that the bed of the canvas along the butt was visually curved and not straight. In comparison, the previous blade broke after about 60 hours because the teeth started to loosen. This is normal with metal band saws. The previous blade was still in the trash can for comparison. This vintage blade made in the USA has no warp on the spine. Yes, Chinese band saw HF 4 x 6. Band saws made in China, no. Save money and buy canvases made in the USA. They cost more in the beginning but much cheaper in the long run. Luckily I have two US made Lenox Diemaster 2 blades in stock, as well as two US made Bosch and Morse blades. I was hoping to save money in the future with a cheaper imported blade, but that didn't work out. The happy ending is that I bought it on Prime and the return period is still open. So I printed a free USPS return label, put it back in the original packaging, and sent it back for a full refund. hp With my rating now three one star negative ratings for this blade. All three negative reviews were received within the last five weeks. It seems pretty obvious that a new batch of inferior blades is now circulating. Let the buyer be alert.
