Review on WEN 61783 4 Inch Pneumatic Roofing by Tim Paolucci

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm glad I bought this as a "spare "

. I bought a WEN 61782 Roofing Gun as a replacement part for a new Dewalt gun that I also bought from Revain to finish my house. Owning and operating this gun was a dream! Sure it's hammered double nails a few times, but my more expensive Dewalt nail gun did the same. Quickly discovered that pistol was a choice between my Dewalt and this one. Trigger, safety seemed to work quicker and easier than my Dewalt. My house has about 64 ties per overlap, I can honestly say Wen only nailed 50 ties without too much trouble. I decided to give my van a break during my reroof job and about an hour in Dewalt fell through to the point where I had to take it in for repairs. I'm glad I bought it "in stock". For the price I paid less than $90 plus free shipping I gave it a try even after reading some negative reviews. Of course I'm a homeowner and I'm covering a house, mine. I'm not sure how a professional roofer doing roof after roof would handle this, but it worked beautifully for me. Maybe I got lucky and got a good one? I used 1 1/4" Grip Rite spiral nails and Owens Corning Estate Gray 3D True Def arch tile for my roofing project. Keep it lubricated and you'll be done. The Wen gun comes in a plastic case, complete with instructions, oil , wrench, goggles. Dewalt came in a box with instructions. Good luck!
