Review on πŸ” Compact HTi80P IR Thermal Imager: High-Resolution Infrared Camera with Temperature Tracking, Wide Measurement Range & Adjustable Emissivity by Antonio Taveras

Good low resolution thermal camera but some images do not represent true capabilities

I was asking if some of the thermal images are an accurate description of what this device is capable of. out. I'm guessing that's not the case, but I've read that there's some sort of inventive processing and overlay feature that can improve the look of an image. Knowing this, I thought that what is shown in the video might be possible despite the low resolution thermal imaging chip. I was wrong. Comments: If you expect this to be a good low-resolution thermal camera with a removable SD card, I think this is probably a good option. Image scanner from Uni-Trend Technology. I only mentioned this because there was a bit more information and a better video about Uni-Trend Technology's "Uni-T" version. If you expect it to show you images like a hot engine or a fox in a video, forget it and buy something else. I haven't used it but it comes with a decent looking protective case. I use the old FLIR at work as well as the newer versions of FLIR, but this is the first time I've bought it. So when I started looking for a camera, all I looked at was FLIR. I quickly read some reviews that suggest there is a general durability issue, at least for smartphone-connected versions of FLIR. Seeing this made me question all FLIR products based on the nature of the problem. There are several videos in foreign languages about diagnostics and possibly even repairs. This camera caught my attention because it uses a FLIR thermal imaging chip (Lepton 2.5 is the lowest resolution FLIR sells) and the images in the video looked too good to be true…. Turns out they were too good to be true. I give 4 stars for the good specification but I deduct 1 star for misleading pictures. As long as you understand that these pictures (motor and fox) are impossible and lower your expectations you should be happy. I ended up sending it back as it's not what I'm looking for. I can try the SEEK Pro version which is about $130 more expensive than this camera. It has a much higher resolution but connects to your smartphone's Micro-C port.
