Review on Create Stunning Cords With Mythrojan Bone Lucet Fork: A Polished Finish Weaving Tool by Justin Ott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don’t understand the negative reviews

I actually purchased the horn lucet first, they are identical except for materials used, the horn is smoother than the bone which makes it nice for loftier yarns. I liked it so much I bought the bone version which works better for smooth dense yarns like crochet cotton and silk gimp. The size is small, but the space between the horns is what really counts as you’re limited by that space. If you want anything above a sport weight you might consider a larger lucet as this size is better for finer yarns, the thread I’m using in the video is sz 3 crochet thread, the beaded cord and the bracelet are sz10 crochet thread and the green yarn is a lion brand cotton bonbon. As another review mentioned this small size is not appropriate for anyone with arthritis or other difficulties using their hands. If you’re struggling to use any lucet check your technique and make sure you’re pulling the working yarn away from the lucet and not towards the middle (if you watch my video you’ll see that as I pull the loop out to work the previous loop snugs up to the cord, if you pull the working yarn to the middle then you won’t be able to easily lift the next loop over the yarn.I have a handful of other lucets and knitting forks and these two are my absolute favorites. They are small enough to go in my pocket or purse, smooth, feel good in my hands and very practically construed.
