Review on Wilson WTF1321B GST Football Junior by Marco Habersham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Okay, but if you think leather is easy to hold onto, you might not agree.

I wanted to get my 9 year old child a really good football. He's tough, likes to play tough and loves the game. I bought the junior size and it looks great. The ball is hard. Leather is processed, probably in the factory. But it's hard to fathom. The ball is a bit slippery. Don't think of a ball like a soft leather baseball glove. It has a hard texture and will be difficult to grab. THIS IS A BIG BALL. Buy a leather conditioner from Wilson to take care of the ball. I also bought a sticky spray that makes all the difference. First I treated the ball with conditioner, let it dry and then applied Velcro spray. Each bottle costs an additional $15. yes expensive But if all you care about is price, go for a rubber ball. Plastic balls are easier to care for. The skin becomes more beautiful over time, but requires some care. Think of it like your car seats. Genuine leather seats are more difficult to maintain than vinyl seats. You decide what is best for you. If this review is helpful, please click the button.
