Installed on a 2008 MDX that periodically polls seat, mirror, steering column and radio positions. The exchange lasted about 15 minutes. The only special tool you need is a T10 Torx bit to remove and replace the drive. It's a little tedious to loosen the glass, but it comes off with a long-bladed screwdriver. Remove the glass, disconnect the wires from the defroster, unscrew the 3 torx screws, disconnect the 2 wire harnesses and flip to install. The glass snaps into place in the drive. You save hundreds of dollars over what the dealer would charge. If one is bad I would switch both because the other is probably not far behind. I only had to replace one because I recently installed a new mirror assembly on one side because it had come loose from the garage door frame. Good luck, this is a simple fix that most Acuras will need at some point. The part has a different part number from the original, which leads me to believe that Acura/Honda improved it in one way or another.
