I honestly didn't think these would be that much of an upgrade from my old sleep masks that feature a stuffed baffle. Boy, I was wrong. These 100% block out the light.I'm sensitive to light when going to bed. My neighbor has this bright outdoor light that shines into my bedroom. In the summer, opening the window causes this light to become the bane of my existence. That is where a sleep mask comes in!I legit put this one with the room lights full blast (I have daylight color indoor lights) and couldn't see a thing. I actually fell asleep and my husband was pretty confused to find me sleeping with all the lights on. But I think that is a pretty strong testimonial for how much thse masks block the light.Of course, these do eventually fall off during my sleep, but that is normal. There was a funky smell out of the package, but it dissapated after 48hrs. I recommend airing them out before initial wear as the smell is quite strong.
