You'd expect a nearly $1,000 air filter to have a few bells and whistles, right? I have several BlueAir filters at home and they are amazing. They're quiet, offer automatic fan speed adjustment based on air quality, a scheduled night mode to change fan speeds (quiet in the bedroom at night, more filtering during the day), Wi-Fi control, and an access cover lock to keep curious kids off the settings mess around. Obviously not this product. Yes, it can be equipped with many plug-ins for air quality control, device control over WiFi from a smartphone app, etc., but that's not standard. This device simply turns on a low, medium, or high fan speed. Good news: Wind noise is almost silent at low speeds. Unfortunately, there's an unbearable electrical hum at all settings, especially at the lowest setting, which would otherwise be mute. look elsewhere
