Love the functionality I love the design

I received a set of Lido style door handles to replace some of the Schlage handles. I liked it so much that I have replaced every door knob in my house with this style. Shabby Bronze looks very high quality although I wouldn't be their first choice other than the fact that all my faucets and other things in the house are bronze so I had to pick them up. However, they look great. Pros: [+] quality. They are quite heavy and almost 100% metal, so they look and feel very sturdy. [+] noise. They are not completely silent, but they are much quieter than my old Schlage fountain pens. That was actually the main reason I decided to upgrade. I hate when it's impossible to open the door at night without waking everyone within a 3 mile radius. [+] key change. I was able to buy a set of latches and handles and a fancy front door handle and set of latches. They came with different keys, but I was able to follow the instructions without too much trouble and recode them to use the same set of keys for all. [+] style. I really like their overall aesthetic. All the similar pens I looked at looked very boring in comparison. [+] Bilateral. It is very easy to switch each grip between right and left hand. [+] Internal locks. The lockable interior handles that I received are great. I hate the cheap kind that can be opened from the outside by just sticking your fingernail in the big slot and twisting your finger halfway. These require the smaller tool provided to be fully inserted into the handle to activate the unlocking mechanism. Cons: [-] I couldn't find my key handle that I put in my garage to flip the keyhole. This is a left handed grip and I was able to switch the grip to the left fairly easily, but the keyhole stayed upside down. Maybe there is a way to do this, but if so I haven't been able to figure it out. Not a big deal as it still works great but I get a little annoyed looking at the upside down keyhole. [-] The slam bars in the room were great, but my garage and front door weren't a standard size. You usually see so I would have to redrill all the holes and the recessed part of the door frame to use them to fit properly. Too much hassle, I just left the old strikers instead, which worked great with those buttons. Just a little worn from all the years of pairing them with my old pens. However, it's okay. Conclusion: It cost a lot to replace every knob in my house, but I'm happy with the results. I simply staggered my orders so that I could replace the handles in stages, floor by floor. So it didn't seem that expensive to do them all together. But I think the price was worth it because they are very good.
