Review on VT500 Voltage Tester: 12V-300V Non-Contact & Contact, LCD Display, Buzzer Alarm & Wire Breakpoint Finder by William Gildea

Just to give some background, I’m an electrical engineer that specs electrical components for a living.In the description of this product it boasts a CE certification (i.e. not certified for use in the US) but I got it anyway just because sometimes the manual provides more information. The manual also boasts the same CE rating for UK and CA. CA and US have a lot of similarities when it comes to standards; however, they’re still different in a lot of ways.I gave it 3 stars because it would be a very handy tool to have and you probably could use it on some smaller low voltage/current hobby projects, I just personally don’t suggest it as a household tool.
