Review on 🌽 Efficient OXO Good Grips Corn Stripper – Easily Remove Corn Kernels in Clear/White/Black by Lauren Smith

I bought this corn head to hull corn for long term storage. Please understand that I am peeling hundreds of ears of corn with this. While I love everything OXO does, this brand just couldn't keep up. As for the quality, it's amazing. Sturdy construction, and the width of the wire stripper fits your hand better than, say, a smaller one. But as far as functionality goes, be careful. I cut my finger on the first batch of corn. The cut was so bad that I decided to go and get stitches. It doesn't cut the corn completely off the cob. I mean it cuts about halfway to the cob leaving half the corn kernel on the cob and half in the holder. In fact, half of the corn is wasted. I tried many ways to get a different result but it was still the same. I found that I had to start at the narrow end of the corn and pull down without changing the pressure at all. But be VERY careful, you still have to hold the corn cob in one hand while holding the tool in the other. There's a good chance you'll cut your fingers with each pass of the wire stripper. I think I'll look for another tool for the same job. I wish I could keep the packaging, I would send it back.
