Stones and debris get inside, which can be uncomfortable, high arches need to be broken.
They were used for hiking along the river/stream. You need a pair of socks to take it down, but they got the job done. The shoes had high arches, so it took a while to get used to them. Stones and sand got into it, which was very inconvenient. The elastic laces held up well.
- My son loves this. I've worn them on a hike and have never complained about the comfort. They are true to size.
- I've always loved the Merrell brand, but these pairs need improvement on the details.
