They were used for hiking along the river/stream. You need a pair of socks to take it down, but they got the job done. The shoes had high arches, so it took a while to get used to them. Stones and sand got into it, which was very inconvenient. The elastic laces held up well.

Exactly as described by the seller. Arrived on time. Unfortunately, Merrell's quality seems to have dropped. After 2 months the sole fell off and the fabric crumbled. And a little bit snugger than his mermaid shoes of the same size. He returned to his hobby he had for 2 years.

I love the concept of these shoes but all the rocks end up in the lake making walking impossible. defeats the purpose of having shoes.

I love these shoes and wish Merrell would continue to make these hybrid tennis shoes and sandals that are supportive and flexible. It's a wet and cross-country champion.

Bought this for my active son mainly because of the zero heel. He wears it to a nearby park. Supports air circulation and does not stink. Comfortable shoes overall with adequate arch support.

Nice Merrell shoes. But consider using them if you take your child to play. The design is very convenient, but small objects can get into the shoes and cause discomfort. Otherwise there are no complaints about the son.

Bought a pair of neoprene socks and these water shoes for my 7 year old son to walk on the river. They did what was necessary. He has to wear them for years. Maybe another sigh of the year….

The laces snapped instantly. My daughter hardly wore them and the special braided laces broke. Disappointing, I usually love Merrel shoes

Great shoes! We have a creek in our backyard and these shoes fit perfectly! It was used and abused throughout the summer with no sign of deterioration. Dries easily, no odor. Also, I think it looks even better in person. 5 Stars!

I love Merrill shoes. I wear 6 in women's shoes but I wear 4 in kids' shoes. Shoes for my women's shoes cost about $100. I wanted more colors so I chose kids sizes and the shoes cost around $45.

I bought these for my daughter for camping and walking the creeks - they are perfect and she loves them! They look exactly like the photo and are true to size. They are lightweight yet durable.

They look cute and durable. But they are very big. My daughter wears 7. 7 was too big and even 6 is too big. No 5 available so we were out of luck.

Great shoes but after two weeks of use the stitching on one of the shoes came undone and the size of the shoe is too small resulting in blisters on both my son's feet.

My child wears them for about a week. The rubber band is already detaching from the tongue. For the price I paid and the small amount of careful use they've gotten, it's insane. I expected more from Merrell!

I really wanted my son to like them; but the bracelet is cracked from minimal wear. It is comfortable to wear barefoot and it covers the entire foot with good ventilation. Ideal for water sports. He has a high arch and they suit him well in that regard. We managed to tie the strap where it came off the tongue. I thought Merrell shoes were better quality.

I have a 7 year old who just doesn't want to wear uncomfortable shoes. She often put a pair of shoes on once and then said they hurt or were too hot. She has never complained about these shoes and in fact they are her favorite shoes. She goes to a day camp and comes home dirty from head to toe. I have to wash everything, you guessed it, especially her shoes. They wash well and dry quickly. Very happy with this purchase and will buy again.

*Update. After wearing them around the house for a few hours they were very uncomfortable and we ended up sending them back. They had a stain that started rubbing even when worn casually inside. Too bad they ended up in the return pile and our search had to continue. My kid is SUPER picky about shoes. A rough spot, an odd arch support, or a chafe, and he's out. We have ordered a water shoe from almost every brand. It was exactly what he was looking for. The tongue covers any itchy/scratchy…
