Review on Telesteps 60324101 Telescopic Mini Ladder by Chris Palmer

Do not confuse this product with the American Telesteps floor ladder, I bought it in the UK. Cheaper even after delivery. That's barely enough for American 8-foot ceilings. So check it out. Great product but terrible instructions. They want you to hang it up while it's stretching. I suppose to make sure it lays flat on the floor but I found that inconvenient. Instead I assembled the ladder in the attic and then moved the mounting plate to where it was going to be mounted and sketched a square area inside the bracket, then added some temporary blocks to support the ladder in place. Ladder so that it still supports itself when the ladder is moved back from the temporary support blocks. I only put in half the bolts, checked the fit and everything was perfect, so I put in the rest of the bolts and added the springs. See attached photos how I installed it. Notice that I added a layered plywood stud to support the stairs. That's just too many big screws for a regular 2*4. I'm a very tall guy and this device supports me with no issues and I feel totally confident standing on it.
